Conditions and procedures for import of feed ingredients and feed in Vietnam.

                   Imported feed ingredients must meet quality standards

1. For feed and feed ingredients already in the list of feed permitted for circulation in Vietnam, when imported, importers carry out procedures at customs offices and perform quality test.

  The registration dossier for quality test of imported feed includes:

    a. Application for registration of quality test (in standard form) (3 copies)
    b. Authenticated copies: Sale contract, Packing list, invoice, certificate of quality analysis (CA) issued by the authority of export country,

2. For feed ingredients not on the list of feed are permitted for circulation in Vietnam while imports they must be recognized by the quality of the    Department of Livestock Husbandry.

  The application file for recognition includes:

  a. Application for recognition of imported feed ingredients (in standard form)
  b. Certificate of free sale for product which is issued by the authority of origin country where the product is made in.
  c. Product information file includes: compositions, quality, efficacy, instructions of product, product label issued by producer (notes that the original label must fulfill all content according to Vietnamese regulation).
  d. Certificate of quality analysis of product (CA) and other certificates related to food safety which issued by the producer who have one of following certificates: GMP, ISO, HACCP, otherwise issued by the authority of exported country
  e. Notarized copy of:  - Certificate of business registration of the importer; or Certificate of Investment of the importer; or License of foreign representative office in Vietnam.

 Profile is the original or a certified copy attached to Vietnamese translation of a stamp of import registration. If the original is not in English, then translated into Vietnamese translation must be notarized.

 Within 07 working days after receiving valid dossiers, Department of Livestock Husbandry has written reply the imported units of recognized quality requirements.
