Vietnam has granted visa exemption for citizens of 23 countries to enter Vietnam
The Government has issued Resolution No. 46 / NQ-CP on visa exemption for citizens of five countries: the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy to enter Vietnam.
Specifically, citizens of 5 countries will be granted visa exemption when they enter to stay in Vietnam, which does not exceed 15 days from entry date, regardless of the type of passport and immigration purposes on basis of meeting the conditions prescribed by the law of Vietnam.
This policy is valid within 1 year from 01 July 2015 to 30 June 2016 and will be considered to be extended under Vietnam law.
Previously, Vietnam had unilateral granted visa exemption for citizens of 7 countries (Japan, Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia) valid within 5 years from 1 January 2015 till 31 December 2019 and would be considered to be extended in accordance with the law of Vietnam,
Vietnam currently applies visa-exemption system for a period of 30 days to tourists from ASEAN countries (excluding Brunei within 14 days).
Previously, the Government has issued a resolution on exemption of term visa for citizens of the Republic of Belarus.
Thus, until now, Vietnam has granted visa exemption for citizens of 23 countries from Europe and Asia when entering Vietnam.
